Because it is tough to motivate yourself to achieve goals. Moreover, your gym partner will get your arse to the gym and complete a great workout.
When you work out alone, you will use lame excuses so that you skip the workout. But your gym partner will always motivate you. However, to make it happen, your gym partner must be sharp and honest. Follow the steps to find a perfect gym partner for yourself. 

Chose the Right One

Step one is to choose the right partner. It means that his and your goals, as well as, abilities must be similar. For instance, if you are new to the gym, whereas you partner deadlifts 600lbs, how would you merge yourself? That is why the choice of the right partner is compulsory for you. Yet, you can have an experienced person who can guide you well. 

Be Reliable

Trust is the most powerful thing in every relation. Once you have found the right gym partner, it is now your duty to trust him. Act on what he says. Trust his nature, and be reliable to him. Also, show your partner some respect and be frank with him. Doing this will make your partnership’s bond more strong. 

Actually Workout

The reason you go to the gym should be obvious, i.e. achieve your goals and become fit. Your main aim should be to complete the workout as soon as possible. In other words, be fast in completing your workout in minimal time. 

Be Honest 

After making a powerful bond with your gym partner, both of you should be honest with each other. If you are squatting and ask your partner to count the reps, it is his duty to count it honestly. Moreover, don’t go for something that you can’t do. Like your partner is doing chin-ups and watching him forces you to do the same, while you are not good at it.  

Encourage Each Other

Encouraging and motivating someone gives him more confidence to surpass his PRS. So, encourage each other during the workout. Once you get successful in your task, make sure you celebrate it.
